Patton Boggs adds Marlette, former FERC general counsel

The Patton Boggs law firm has expanded its energy regulatory and enforcement practice, adding Cynthia A. Marlette, former general counsel of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Of Counsel.

Marlette’s “wealth of knowledge of the energy industry, her in-depth experience at FERC, in the federal courts and before Congress, and her comprehensive understanding of the laws affecting energy business will make her a valuable asset to the firm and our clients,” said Suedeen Kelly, chair of Patton Boggs’ energy industry practice, and herself a recent FERC commissioner.

Ms. Marlette will focus on electricity and gas matters. She served six years as FERC general counsel, including service under three different chairmen – Pat Wood, Joseph Kelliher and Jon Wellinghoff.
